Endomorph: These people are usually chubby, it’s very easy for them to gain weight, but hard for them to lose it. They’re very sensitive to carbs, and if they are not careful the weight they gain will be fat and not muscle.

Mesomorph: The lucky few that seem to be naturally athletic. They can seemingly eat whatever they want and not workout very hard, yet build muscle and burn fat faster than everybody else.

Not only are there 3 main body types, but the majority of people are a combination of two body types.

I am an endomorph with some mesomorph characteristics, meaning I could put on muscle with enough hard work (mesomorph characteristic), but it’s very difficult for me to burn fat (endomorph characteristic), especially around my midsection.
